FAQs

Is it possible to order something in a size or length that I do not see offered?

Yes. Usually.  If you would like to order something, but do not see the size or length that you need, contact me at melissascoppa@gmail.com and we can make arrangements.

Do you accept returns or exchanges?

Yes. We want you to be happy with your purchase. If you are not completely happy with your jewelry simply contact me within 14 days and ship items back to me within 30 days. If there is no quality issue with the piece, any shipping and and insurance for the return is the responsibility of the customer. The piece will be reviewed to confirm it is unworn and in sale-able condition at which point you will be credited back to your original method of payment for the jewelry excluding initial shipping cost.

What carrier do you use for Shipping?

All shipments are made through the United States Postal Service. Basic free shipping gets you basic First Class mail and a tracking number will be generated and emailed to you when your item ships.  Other expedited and International options are available at checkout as well.

If you would like to request an alternate carrier such as UPS or FedEx, please send an email to info@melissascoppa.com

Do you ship Internationally?

International shipping is available. Please note that delivery time varies significantly if selecting First Class International and transit time is often quite lengthy.

  • USPS First Class International (Shipping time varies)
  • International Priority Mail with tracking
  • International USPS Priority Express with tracking

I just placed my order. When can I expect to receive my tracking number?

It takes approximately 2-3 days for order processing and for a tracking number to be available. Please notify us if expediting is required and we will do our best.

Why is my sterling silver jewelry tarnishing?

Sterling silver will develop a patina or tarnish as a natural reaction to various things in the environment. It is the nature of the metal to discolor as it comes in contact with moisture, body products, skin oils, etc. but it can easily be cleaned with the right product.  My pieces are not plated or coated with anything and the pure metal does require a degree of care and maintenance.

How do I clean my jewelry?

I suggest a silver cream polish for sterling silver items, and a mild soap with warm water for gold or items with stones. A  great product that I use frequently is Wright's Silver Cream or Weiman's Silver cream.  This can also be used on gold. It is easy to use and comes with a soft sponge to apply the cream to your jewelry ( a paper towel can also be used to apply the polish). It should then be rinsed and thoroughly dried. This can be found at most supermarkets or hardware stores in the cleaning aisle as it is the same product used for sterling silver flatware.  A polishing cloth can also be a great way to quickly wipe down a piece as well.

My jewelry needs to be repaired. What do I do.

Just send an email to info@melissascoppa.com with your repair request and instructions will be emailed to you on how to submit for repair.

How do I request Gift Wrapping?

All jewelry comes in a box with bow at no additional charge. If you are ordering multiple items and would like them to be packaged in the same box, please provide a note in the comments section during checkout or email info@melissascoppa.com with any special requests.

Jewelry Sizing Guides

Necklace Sizing Guide

The length of a necklace affects how it looks when you wear it. Always pay attention to necklace length when you’re purchasing jewelry, and be aware of how different necklace lengths look on you.

Most pendants can not be switched to longer or shorter chains on your own and they would need to be sent in to us for the alteration. They are designed so that the pendant does not fall off of the chain and the bail (part that connects the pendant to the chain) is too small to fit over the clasp and end ring.

We suggest that you measure a necklace that you already have and that is the length that you are looking for. Measurements should be taken from end to end including the clasp.

Ring Sizing Guide

Method #1

To get the most accurate measurement possible we urge you to get professionally sized at a local jewelry store and it that is not possible, pick up one of our Plastic Ring Sizers available in the shop. This sizer gives a pretty accurate measurement and is essentially free since it comes with a 4$ coupon code for a future ring purchase with us.

We also realize that time is of the essence sometimes and/or maybe you have plenty of rings lying around that fit perfect but just can't remember the size. Therefore we have outlined two possible ways for you to measure your ring size using this handy dandy printable PDF.

Please be sure to follow the instructions and double check measurements with a ruler. Printers can be tricky with sizing.

Method #2 - Measure A Ring That Fits

Place your ring over the closest matching sized circle, make sure the inside of the ring fits around the outside of the circle. If you are between sizes, order up.

Method #3 - Measure Your Finger With a Ruler

1 - Get a non-stretchy string or paper about 6" long and 1/4" wide.

2 - Wrap around the base of your finger. It has to fit snug, but not too tight.

3 - Mark the point on the string/paper where it overlaps forming a circle.

4 - Compare the length of the string/paper to the chart. That is your ring size.

*If you are between sizes, order a larger size.

Make sure your finger is at a normal body temperature -- fingers can shrink or expand when cold or hot. If your knuckle is much larger than your finger’s base, take two separate measurements and choose a size in between. You want a ring to fit over your knuckle, but not be too loose or it will shift around.
