These sundial earrings are inspired by the beauty of moon phase complications on mechanical watches. A cut out window displays a striking blue lapis backdrop reminiscent of the night sky with pyrite stars. These earrings represent the fascinating connection between time telling devices and the measuring of time by the rotation of the earth.
The Sundial is one of the earliest time-keeping instruments and exists today as more of a symbol of the fleeting nature of time. Sundials are found all around us if you know where to look. While there is sometimes a somber tonality to the mottos they are emblazoned with, they can be equally as uplifting, encouraging us to take in the moment and have an appreciation for time and its value.

Efforts spent on care and consideration will allow your fine jewelry to last for many years to come. It is a good practice to remove jewelry when doing household chores, exercising, bathing, and sleeping just to name a few. This can lengthen the life of a piece dramatically, and can lessen the chances of damaging an item or putting it through unnecessary wear and tear. Check in on your jewelry daily. Most broken chains or lost earrings occur as a result of continuous wear without checking to detangle chains or re-secure earring backs.
To clean most gold and platinum jewelry, we recommend mild dish or hand soap, warm water, and a soft toothbrush. Soft stones such as opals or turquoise should not be polished with a brush or cloth. Stone settings should be checked at least once a year by a jeweler to ensure that wear and tear has not caused settings to wear down or be moved out of place. If the jewelry is being worn every day, it should be checked twice a year.
For cleaning sterling silver we suggest a silver cream polish called Wright's Silver Cream. This can be found at most supermarkets or hardware stores in the cleaning aisle. A polishing cloth can also be a great way to quickly wipe down a piece.
Anything not in the Ready to Ship section requires 2-4 weeks to ship as jewelry is hand made to order. Most designs in Sterling Silver will ship in 2 weeks or less, however orders in gold will likely take the full 4 weeks.
Items in the Ready to Ship section will be shipped with tracking provided within 1-3 business days.
